Some More Oahu....
Seriously, I could just not get over the beauty of the island. This gorgeousness was right next to where we parked our car at the condo at Turtle Bay. Just breathtaking!
Bryson tried throwing a tiny twig over the edge. It went about two feet out in front of him and then blew back. That quickly became a favorite game as they tried to catch it on the way back.
We went and spent some time down at Waikiki. Eh. Not my favorite.
But we ate at Cheeseburger in Paradise and got some virgin lava flows....and that was delicious!
I took a picture of the $10 picture they were trying to sell us :)
We stopped and rode the train around the Dole Plantation.
And we also visited Pearl Harbor. We LOVED it! (all of these taken with my handy dandy point and shoot)
We decided to rent the headsets to get the full experience. I was surprised at how much Grant loved listening to all of the details. The kids were determined to answer all of the questions in their booklet so they could be honorary kid rangers or whatever they called it. It was fun watching them read all of the information and soak it all in.
Such an awesome feeling here....
Yes! They did it! They passed!
We hit up the Aloha Stadium to buy some crap, I mean souveneirs. No actually, we found the most amazing coconut peanut butter, which was so delicious on pancakes with sliced bananas and syrup. Mmm. Tasty. Good thing we had packed our ponchos that we got at the Polynesian Cultural Center because we got rained on a LOT!
We stopped at the International Marketplace to see if we could find the man with the parrots...
He wasn't there yet, so we waited.....
And waited....
And then he came. It was totally worth our little 20 minute wait. The kids loved it!
So did we! I was just glad that nobody got pooped on!!!
Jarom caught a baby chicken. My kids chased chickens for weeks!
And we enjoyed some amazing sunsets!!!!
Oahu is amazing!
