Sunshine In My Soul

Seriously so blessed.....

So, I'm sitting here laughing, because I don't want to use this title...and associate it with THAT blog...and I wonder if SHE will find this post...and read it....and make fun of me, like she does of everyone else. But whatever...I'm me. And that's how I feel. So that is going to be my title for this blog post - and I'm sticking to it. So there! {I kinda just wanted to stick my tongue out and tilt my head to the side, just a bit...but I'll refrain}

Brett and I headed to our favorite bed and breakfast for the weekend (it's actually the only bed and breakfast that we've ever stayed at...but we do LOVE it!) Thursday, I picked Brett up from work around 1:30, we headed to the airport, caught a quick little flight to LA, and within a few hours of leaving town we were checked in to The Inn at Playa del Rey. They upgraded us for free to their suite - complete with the hugest tub I have ever seen in my life - easily big enough for two. Okay, enough said. TMI? Sorry!

Basically, we just really enjoyed being together, cruising around town and up and down the Pacific Coast Highway, shopping, eating, lounging, reading, snuggling by the fire, hanging out at Universal Studios, and exploring Santa Monica Pier.

While we were driving along the coast, with the top of the convertible down, holding hands, listening to the radio, Martina McBride's song "Blessed" came on. I just sang and sang, covered in goosebumps...feeling like most of the words fit perfectly for me...right now.

I feel like I've found my way...like my priorities are in the right spot...like I'm doing what my Heavenly Father wants me to do... So, today I feel....seriously, so blessed. It's a fact!

Brett...trying to be chubby...like Fred. Whatever! He eats like a horse and doesn't gain a pound. Me...I look at a piece of bread and gain 5.

Already planning our next little getaway....can't wait until January!
