Some North Shore Fun, Kauai Part 2
We spent a few different days up North checking out that side of the island. One morning, we headed up. Stopped for a quick second at Hilo Hatties, just to show the kids a super overpriced souveneir shop.
We stopped in Anahola for lunch at Duane's Ono-Char Burger...
Bryson was hungry and was a little bummed that he had to wait. That place is busy for a reason. Yum!
Then we stopped to tour the Kilauea Lighthouse.
This sign gave the kids the giggles. We looked for red-footed boobies, but we never found any. Bummer.
Then we hiked down to Secret Beach to explore and enjoyed this gorgeous view of the lighthouse.The kids played in the ocean for a bit, but the waves were just too big for me. They were scaring me. Like bad! So we took the kids down the beach to do some exploring. We heard there were great tidepools to check out. That was so fun!
Aahhh! Big random crazy wave!
A stop at Banana Joe's...so super tasty! I want a champion juicer now. Yummy, fresh, healthy treats!
As we headed back towards "home", we stopped to admire this view of the Taro Fields in Hanalei. {sigh..}
Another day up north....
Some Shave Ice Paradise and Bubba Burgers...
And Nan did the whole "Pick a Pearl" thing...
